District digest spring 2026

Families are encouraged to check their childโ€™s backpack or ask their child for the newest District Digest, Victoria ISD's quarterly print newsletter, which will go home with students on Thursday, Feb. 5.

District Digest is designed to provide parents and guardians with essential district updates in a direct, accessible format. While digital communication remains an important tool, Victoria ISD is also offering a printed newsletter to help ensure all families receive timely information, regardless of internet access or platform preferences.

โ€œThe District Digest is another way for the district to stay connected with our families and share important information in a simple, accessible way,โ€ said Ashley Alvarez, Executive Director of Communications. โ€œSending District Digest home with students gives us another opportunity to highlight key updates, share resources, and help parents and guardians stay informed about what is happening across Victoria ISD.โ€

The quarterly newsletter serves as a resource to strengthen family engagement by sharing key district information, highlighting important dates and programs, and offering practical guidance to support students and families.

The Spring 2026 edition includes updates on facility needs and bond planning, academic programs, course selection, dual credit opportunities, registration for the 2026-27 school year, and the VISD Application Hub. Families will also find general district updates and reminders designed to help them stay informed and connected.

Parents and guardians will receive a text message the evening of Feb. 5 reminding them to check their childโ€™s backpack or ask their student for their copy of the District Digest.

Victoria ISD encourages families to review the newsletter together and use it as a reference throughout the semester.

The District Digest is also available online in English and Spanish. Visit www.visd.net/districtdigest
